Also, this is a pointless rant because Apple has phones in every price segment now. For just 200 dollars more u can get the iPhone 11. Which is far superior. Everything u wanted in the SE is there. Wide angle, bigger display, modern design.
The SE is for specific people. Only. Those who value Touch ID still…and want a smaller form factor. That breed is dying a painful death. Nobody can afford the iPhone 12 Mini.

They were already thinking about the iPhone SE 2 while developing the SE 2020. The question u raised about having a 'larger screen' is a very valid one. But that is something Apple has reserved for it's next generation SE in 2022. A 5.5 inch screen, or probably slightly bigger.

The only reason for me to buy a SE 2020 surely of its Touch ID, well iPhone 12 should have Touch ID. Don’t Apple knowing Face ID is unable to access banking apps when we wear a mask? Since 2020 somemore

I own an iPhone se 2020 and in my opinion it’s the best phone I ever had and I had over 20 different phones in the last 12 months both iPhones and android and as I said before this is the best of all and I don’t understand the tantrum about it but it’s kinda funny lol
