I have an iPhone 3GS with new bootrom, running iOS 4.3 with 05.16.08 baseband. Currently it's jailbroken, but it doesn't find a carrier.
How can i maintain an untethered jailbreak and at the same time, have it unlocked?
If I run redsn0w again, select a 4.3 ipsw file and when i can configure my jailbreak data I select install iPad Baseband (06.15), then i run the whole thing once again and select Downgrade iPad Baseband (06.15 To 05.13) will that work?
I want to have full GPS functionality too.
Can I downgrade my iphone 4 baseband 4.11.08 to 1.59.00?? can you help me please..

Hey man, I'm trying this as well and believe im having problems.. On a iphone 3g 4.2.1 cfw all that happens after I do that process is just a blank screen? No words or pineapple dude. Does it matter?
just tried this on a new bootrom 3gs and it worked great first try.
The only thing I did different to the vid was use a 6.0 ipsw instead of 6.1.3.
Dino, thanks again for all the help… Thanks to you I have upgraded ios, hacktivated, jailbroke, unlocked network and downgraded baseband.
As soon as I downgraded the BB my 3g signal has been much better, wifi is better and Ive had no disconnections and no more random app crashes.

DinoZambas2, mate, Ive just checked and the 3rd 4th and 5th digits in my serial are 014, so that means Im on the NEW bootrom because the '0' signifies 2010, so that's obviously after week 45 of 2009 making mine the new bootrom?
Can you please confirm that I am on the new bootrom and that this BB downgrade does work on the new bootrom?

my phone started an infinite loop showing this message "restore needed, you cant make or receive calls" what should i do in that case?, i cant use buttons, (i used redsnow to make an ENTER_DFU instalation). Please Help!.
