iPhone 12 extreme water test

The iPhone 12 is water resistant. But just how much water can it actually take? We dunked a brand-new iPhone 12 underwater in Lake Tahoe, California, to test out the IP68 rating and go even deeper than we’ve ever tested a phone before.

  1. Yeah I’m sure when you get a diagnostics screen that means basically something wrong happened to it. Water reached into the electronics. And even if you could restore it i’m sure over time you would notice some glitchy stuff like crashes do to slow corrosion of the electronics.

  2. Even you don't go for the extreme, I guarantee it will still fail. It happen to me, my friend and most importantly, water damage is not cover by the warranty

  3. Not an Apple fan but can note that it does exceed the IP68 rating of 30 minutes. Fished someones phone out near a Jetty whilst fishing 4 DAYS IN SALTWATER after it was lost. And YES IT WAS STILL WORKING

  4. Guys pls don’t try this they used to say or prove that iPhone is a waterproof but it’s not an iPhone 7 Plus supposed to be an waterproof but it’s not!! I tried to wash my phone in less than 1 min my phone’s screen+home button doesn’t work anymore!!so plz don’t try this even with the new iPhone!!

  5. Is it something usual to come into bears like that? If it is, is it safe for people to go for a walk or to hung around in that region? I’m from Portugal, where bears don’t roam around like that, so that’s why I’m kind of surprised. I hope nothing happened to the bear…
