Today I”m talking about the iPhone 12 Pro paint chipping or coming off. This is an issue that was brought to my attention by a subscriber of the channel Adnan. He asked me for my take and my prespective/experience. I’ve had the iPhone 12 Pro for ten days and like all my other iPhones I don’t use a case on my phones simply because i appreciate the beauty and form factor of the device on it’s own. I’ve also got a tip for you all that do use cases, I…

  1. My iPhone 11 black has paint chipping on the metal around the cameras lenses and the case is raised i noticed it about a month after getting it and I haven’t dropped it or anything like that

  2. I have the silver one and believe that thing get scratched even by looking at it…. I have my phone two weeks by now and it is a scratch mess…. Thankfully almost all that can be removed with high polishing paste but it is for sure a really fragile beauty

  3. And I have the iPhone SE second edition everything is in mint condition but they won’t help you with a replacement charge for example for certain things etc. and these new boxes and questionable any way of going greenYeah green dollar save that Apple used to be a really good company might still be but man they changed

  4. Apple stores usually been really friendly really good to me I’ve had Apple products for a while now but don’t go there this last time they just don’t want to help anybody and I have a legit iPhone sometimes I think galaxy

  5. Thank you for this info, had my first iphone (12) last february, and apparently, after three months I could see paint chips from the rim of the camera. It sucks, though I assumed it's due to the temperature as well.

  6. Straight out of the box I noticed a little paint chipping on the bottom of the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Also got an iPhone 12 for someone but noticed no issues on that model. Only way to exchange it for free is an apple store since I bought it from T-Mobile they want to charge a restocking fee. It’s honestly not noticeable with a case on it and only a person who really checks stuff like this would notice but the regular user who doesn’t care for scratches, paint chips…etc wouldn’t notice. I feel bad about it because it seems as if some of that bottom edge was hit when the representative in store she rested my phone on the table when she took it out the box. Due to the way she handled my phone I asked her not to set it up or the other phone I will do it myself as I always do. She was trying to be persistent about it but I reported this issue to T-Mobile but I’m wondering if they can cover the restocking fee then I would exchange it.

  7. I wondered that because PVD coatings are pretty tuff and once on is near impossible to remove I have flash lights with PVD coating on them and they just don't peal chip or wear like these images they are not coatings as such its applied different and wouldn't look like that they look like fake phones that are just powder coated or painted….;)
    even states this here..
PVD coating processes deposit a layer of high density material that's only a few microns thick. Once applied, the coating is nearly impossible to remove, and won't wear off on its own

  8. My Gold iPhone 12 pro max has ZERO micro scratches on the bezel. I use an apple silicone case and nomad rugged case and clean it once a week with microfiber cloth. Zero marks and I used a flashlight to check and tilting it in different angles, nothing! I think the gold one resist scratches very very well

  9. Thanks for the video. How often do you have to clean the case and 12 pro to prevent micro scratches on the stainless steel? Will dust scratch the stainless steel immediately if it gets trapped in the case?

  10. I think paint chip off because of the dust inside the case scratched to the phone. If using phone without case, the phone will not chip off like this, but it risky when you drop the phone, so my opinion you should use skin to cover the phone if you use case

  11. My one-week old iP12 Blue got some of its coating removed. I used a DIY Clip stand but it didnt worked, so it fell on a small rock and got mini scratches

  12. I’ve been using iPhone 12 Black since December 2020, and the paint was started to chipped off in January 2021. I always use a case since day one, and I use original otterbox symmetry for the case. I never dropped my iPhone from any height.

Now my iPhone 12 has some paint-chipped on its aluminium surface : on its bottom-right side and on those two camera rings. Well it’s been happened on a $829 phone…..

  13. I have the pacific blue iPhone 12 Pro Max. I can confirm my sides are chipping…. I keep a case and a clear bra on this thing and it still chips. Not sure what to do…. It’s an expensive device. The finish came off after I used a microfiber clothes to clean it. Not sure if that’s a quality control thing or something else.

  14. Just switched back to 🍎 after 6 years with android. Ordered yesterday the iPhone 12 pro max graphite and currently waiting to arrive 😁😁. Got a friend who got the 12 pro from the day 1 and no problems so far still looking like a piece of premium handcrafted "titanium". Got the case already and the screen protector so i hope i will be alright. Great video straight to the point👍🏻👍🏻.
