I am switching today from a 8+ to the 12 pro max after getting it about 3-4 years back. It was a great phone to have and I still recommend this phone, but in my eyes it aged pretty poorly look-wise and I think the X nowadays is the better buy between the two now. I chose it over the X back then when it didn’t look so dated because overall I felt it was the more optimized product over the I phone X, which was new for apple at its time.
12 pro max seems like a worthy investment, overall best Phone camera on the market and the I phone 5s was my favorite phone, I appreciate how the design pays homage to it in a lot of ways while still feeling new and premium.

I love the 8 plus I hate the notched new phones hate the Face ID Touch ID us better the camera awesome hold the phone in landscape mini iPad the 11 series etc the colours seem weird and over filtered etc. The 8 plus in 256gb in product red is the best and the product red is the best looking and best red released so far gorgeous phone just like what you’ve been using with your 3GS, 4s, 5, 6 plus 7 plus you can’t go wrong the only reason I might get another type is why apple still sells 7 and 7 plus but you can’t buy an 8 or 8 plus because they want the phones to make the SE 2 and I guess the SE 2 plus
