hi, i know this video is old but my iPhone 11 fell into the water. for just a couple seconds tbh, i dried it right away. but the problem is it was dead when it fell, i checked and the dead battery sign was there. i decided to wait 45 minutes or so and put it on charge and now it’s not working. any advice please?

1: TURN PHONE OFF ASAP
2: Dry off phone with cloth
3: remove sim tray
4: set upright against something so water can drain
5: leave it off for at least 2 days. If you need a phone while you wait put your sim card in to an old phone or borrow a spare from a friend

There waterproof all you have to do is dry it with a towel. You could throw your iphone in the pool and it will be fine unless it's a old version.
I would not keep it in a bag because the water moisture is still in the bag and would not allow it to evaporate as well as open air
