I'm in 2019 and it still works! Computer password, Windows or Mac.
Gonna give it a shot, thanks Mic! Edit: Yours is the only solution that worked, I typed in a Windows login password from 2 computers ago and my wife's new iPhone X is up and running! You're a savior!
Also: funny that this video is from 2 years ago and Apple still hasn't made this step more clear.
