Apple Bans Screen Protectors in Retail Stores – …

iLounge and Macworld are reporting that Apple has banned the sale of film-based screen protectors for its iPhone, iPod, and Mac lines in its retail stores. But why? Alex, a film protector owner; while Kevin, a raw iPhone owner thinks Apple doesn’t want to imply that their perfect devices need some sort of protecting. The guys take some time to debate the necessity of protecting their iPhone screens. Bottom line: to each his own. If you want to protect it, you will.

  1. I have invisible shield for my Ipod Touch and when I got it applied I could for the first time really use it. Before I had to wrap it in a cloth and treated it like a jewel more than a Media Player.

  2. i've never needed a screen protector, i've had my iphone for over a year and i've never need it 😀

its got very minor scratches, always in the same pocket as my keys and shit

    …. btw, dont like protection
