I grew up in Bend and it's not that bad of town. It's more of a tourist/outdoorsy type of town due to all the recreational things to do there.
Regarding blockbuster though. The owners actually paid for the rights to use the name. It's still an independent store since the Blockbuster company has since been long gone. We did have another one located in Sandy, Oregon but that closed a few years ago.
