  1. Hi Dean, thanks so much for your tutorial. Requesting your input- I'm using Bandlab online, and for some reason, out of nowhere, there seems to be this crackling sound that gets recorded and added to my playback, no matter what I do. I've tried everything, from disconnecting my equipment to rebooting my system, to uninstalling Cakewalk (which is what I'm sure is part of the problem, since the issue only arose after I downloaded and installed it to begin with). I'm part of a time-bound project and can't seem to get around this. Online forums aren't helpful, and I can't seem to find anyone who has this problem with the online DAW. I can't imagine it's my equipment since it's pretty much new, and Audacity, while with its own set of issues, does not give me crackling during playback, so I'm 99% sure it's something on Bandlab that got screwy. Any advice you could give me would be immensely appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  2. Good job, a lot of information delivered! Just wondering; you seem almost to speak without breathing in between sentences. Did you edit your speech and cut out the short periods od silence after each period?

  3. This is great, I never realised that we had this option. I’ve tried to get into various DAW’s over the years without much success. Recently I decided on learning Cakewalk because it’s free and no catch fully functional.
But this looks an even better option to get started because of it’s simplicity. Giving GarageBand a run for it’s money.

  4. Hello congratulations for the tutorial I was wondering how you can move the default audio tracks of musical instruments in the timeline for those who do not know how to use musical instruments

  5. @Thesongwritingstudio, for someone who can sing a wee tiny bit. What would you recommend doing, for that person to progress and improve. That person is me.

Also can a microphone, audio interface, DAW program help your voice. Don't want to totally change my voice altogether as in autotune or majorly edited?

  6. can the finished product be less than a minute? bc i made a recording that was around 40 seconds long but another 20 seconds got added after i dowloaded it :O (gr8 vid btw)

  7. Thank you! My biggest dream is to be a song writer, singer and producer, but i'm not good at technology things and my biggest passion is music and making it, I've never been in a situation with my mental health that music haven't made better. Now I can start doing what I love the most, bc I have a free software/website. Thank you for this tutorial!
