This app allows you to create incredibly realistic guitar tones from classic, boutique and must-have guitar amps along with incredible analog sounding pedals and rack effects, all from your phone, and Steve does a walkthrough of the app so you can see how everything works.

This app serves many useful purposes for any guitar player, from having a backup rig at your disposal to the freedom to practice, write, or record anywhere at any time, without having to have your amp and pedalboard with you.

The user interace is simple to use, and if you use Bias Amp on your phone, Bias FX Universal integrates directly into that as well, so you can pull up a boutique amp in Bias FX, send it to Bias Amp to change the tubes, transistors, etc, and then send it right back into BIas FX for the ultimate flexibility in sound. You can also run dual amps to customize the tone just how you want it.

  2. I picked up at Ik multimedia IRig 2 for my audio interface . Hope it works well. If not I’m definitely going to try the shure 👍. Can’t wait to tinker around with this . Sounds great !

  3. Hi Steve.

I bought bias fx mobile, elite or ultimate version. Don’t know exactly how it’s called, anyway it’s a full paid version. I also have bias fox Le edition on my Mac. On the pc using the shure mvi audio interface, the sound is muffled and with low volume. I got a scarlet focusrite scarlet from a friend. Although the sound improved in volume and gain, it still didn’t sound that good as on the bias mobile app. I’m waiting for my Steinberg ur22 interface to arrive. Now back to the phone app. No matter what I do, I don’t seem to get a really good tone from it. I have the same equipment as you do except for the guitar. I have an Ibanez premium (HSH configuration) with Dimarzio pickups that were from an Ibanez JEM Steve Vai signature mode. I got your tone from tonecloud but I notice that there is a slight difference in sound. It sounds a bit muffled, not like on the pc. I’m trying to find a good sound for metal to record in Cubase but struggle to find a decent sounding one. I have other guitars, the one that managed to provide the best overall tone is my Gibson flying v

  4. Hi seems interesting but only thought I'd can you Bluetooth iPad with bias on to an audio interface or as I fear there would be delay or could you can use boss wireless system but then would guitar need to be cabled to ipad. Trying to find way of wireless iPad to interface but also guitar wireless too iPad but not sure it's possible. A cable would be needed somewhere?

That's why I stick with my boss katana air and just output to a couple of high end powercabs to gig.

If you can do bias fx mobile all wireless would interest me I would build my own wireless amp around it

  5. Hello Steve! How do you get that sound? It’s awesome. I have Positive Grid Bias 2 mobile running through an Apogee Duet for iPad and Yamaha HS5 monitors but it doesn’t even come close. Any advice? Thanks and great video!

  6. Really enjoying this but I can’t figure out if it’s possible to lower the volume of other apps.

I’ll open YouTube and it’ll blast it out at full volume. Is there anyway in the app to lower this?

I’m using IRig hd2 is this the problem?

  7. Hi Steve.
Great demo. I have a question. What interface did you use to connect the guitar to your iPhone and also get the sound out of it, since there is no headphone jack anymore?
    Thanks

  8. Hi Steve, I have a question. If I purchase Bias fx for Pc, do I get all the stuff for my phone for free then because I have the pc version or do I have to purchase both because they are two complete seperate things?
