How I Shot a CINEMATIC iPhone Music Video (by myself)

In this video we look at how Blake worked as a one-man-band “crew” to shoot, direct & edit a music video.

Project was shot in 4K 24fps on an iPhone 11 Pro Max using FiLMiC Pro Flat. Also used a Beastgrip 1.55x anamorphic lens along with their universal Beastgrip Pro cage. Additionally used a Hollywood Black Magic filter, which softens skin tone and adds a subtle glow to the highlights.

  1. Hi there I got a small question
Did you notice the horrible ghosting in the iPhone 12 lineup? At a city at night you can’t shoot nothing!
And also at day time if you try to shoot a window with heavy sun you also get this annoying ghosting and green dots.
My question – do you have any solution for that?
If I put a moment lens it will help?

I really need some halo on this.
    Thank you so much!!
    Keep the good job!!

  2. These videos are so helpful for learning to shoot with iPhones. I might have done lots of things different – separate the subject from the background, no blue flare in distracting up-front position covering the face, no ring light, etc. But I'm deeply grateful for what I can learn here – seeing what the 1.55 anamorphic looks like, as well as the large FalconEyes LED with softbox, the filter, and the cinema grading LUT. (I like the couch shot.)
