If I have apps with no “profile” like games such as ehh HayDay or something (I don’t play it, just an example lmao) and I paid on the app for money etc,, will the data from whatever game I have transfer to my new phone?
So you interrupt the process to take the SIM card out of the old and into the new? Does that crash the process? Does it prompt you to do it or do you just do it at the point you mentioned it? What about music and photos stored locally on the old phone? Thank you

Thank you for the tutorial. I have an Iphone 6S and an 8+. I have been using the 8+ on WIFI only so it has already backed up from ICloud. Do I need to set the 8+ back to factory default in order to change the Sim card to now use it on the network. And, will I lose the pictures on the 8+ if I set it back to the factory default? thanks

Hi, just one question. on timeline 1:40min it displays update backupo before restoring. Could you tell me where that backup is mande, on the iPhone memory or on iCloud. What it you do not have enough memory ? How long does it usually take ?

Great video with step by step instructions. Thank you Aaron! Your 5:54 video saved me a ton of time and aggravation in restoring my old settings. Though smart phones are great, when they crash, it can be a nightmare trying to get back in sync. Part of my issue was not backing up things to the iCloud, which I am now doing…..worth the add'l $2.99/month. What took me about 20 hours will be a lot faster in the future. I own that mistake. Going forward, it shouldn't be as painful.
Quick question, at the 4:46–4:54 mark of the video, the apps/icons at he very bottom of your phones are not exactly the same. Did you manually change them? I see a Dropbox, Google Maps and Starbucks on the left side, but do not see them on the new phone. I do see iTunes on the new phone that is not shown on the old phone. This may not be a big deal, just wondering why they are different. Again, great video. Thanks!

what if the data you want to transfer is huge and you run out of the 5GB free icloud storage apple gives you? Do you have to upgrade your icloud to make this possible?

Hi Aaron. I’m going to upgrade my iPhone 6 to 8+ next week or so and I’m planning to backup using iCloud. I have about 12k photos in my phone so I’m planning to purchase more iCloud storage to fit them all. Once I’ve set up my new phone can I transfer all 12k photos from iCloud to my new device so I can unsubscribe the extra storage?

how can I do the backup if I have different carrier and phone number?
The pictures on my Camera Roll are identical however they do not match on My Photo Stream. Originally had 800+ on my iPhone 6 but my iPhone 8 says I only have 30. Is this because of the recent 30 day photo thing?

Aaron, Great Video..who knew it was this easy with iOS11. I have a couple quick questions:
1) I usually do not back-up photos to iCloud so I do not have enough memory to transfer to the new phone. Do I need to buy more iCloud memory? (At least for the month?)
2) I'm not sure how many GB's and app's you transferred between phones. I need to transfer about 65 GB. How long do you think this will take to do? A couple hours? A day? An approximation is fine! hanks, Ed
