Hi Guys, I have same problem with my iphone5, but my Modem Firmware is 03.04.25… i don't know why it's became No Service,i hope you can help,, suggest or explain me about it… i was totally clueless bout it.! 🙁
I followed this video's instructions, and it DID NOT fix the no service and searching… on my iPhone 3GS with the 6.15.00 baseband.
I didn't find any jailbreak solution to the iPhone not recognizing/utilizing any SIM card, but I just did an iTunes Restore, then Restored from backup, and the SIM card reader resumed functionality.

For those who have not been there I would also urge you not to visit Leon Stacey's page, as it is merely a form of uninformative advertising, under the guises of helping people sort their phones, the stingy so and so should pay for his advertising, as I imagine the ethos of this site is to share all manner of things without demands for payment, and even though I despise them, the pop up ads are paid for, so that we can get what we get for merely the cost charged by our i.s.p grrrrrrhhhhhhh.
Why should people have to compromise the integrity of their phones by 'jailbreaking' them in a hopeless bid to get them to do what they paid for. Now even though my 32g 3gs worked fine initially, now even though my unit has credit on, all I get now, is 'this network is no longer available' (whilst in my house) even though I get a good intermittent signal when anything more than 25 yards from my front door. Everybody I speak to, I am going to urge them not to buy any Iphone, as I am informed that even the iphone 5 has exactly the same problem, which is a clear demonstration of how much Apple value the 'end user' namely us. I'm seriously considering starting a lobby. Wish I could say good luck, but i am certain many share my frustrations. 1 love.
If I had read the reviews for these phones I would never have bought 1, is it just me or are people clearly being ripped off, you get a sense that these pieces of garbage were designed to fail as quickly as possible, and then you have to pay through your nose for an essential repair that many can do by themselves , ie change a battery. Does not require any degrees to change a battery in a phone, why should we have to pay for the 1 phone many times over.

I have an iPhone 3GS, 8GB, iTunes asked to update iPhone software, then it has been updated to firmware 6.1.3 with baseband 6.15.00, now I am totally have NO SERVICE or Searching whether was there is a SIM card in or not! some people said that I must downgrade from 6.1.3 to 5.1.1 to let it work, but why? but also I have tried to downgrade that MANY TIMES but nothing happen whatsoever that could change the firmware & the baseband in the iPhone after been updated by iTunes!!! Now I am stuck!

For the people who have a hard time finding their IPSW Restore files just go to ipswdownloader com/download-iphone-ipsw-files.php and find your IPSW there.

step 6. connect your iphone to ur pc/mac and hold shift+click restore window will pop up select the custom firmware made in snowbreeze (will be on ur desktop)….
hey guys there is an alternative way to jailbreak it
steps:
1. download tiny umbrella
2. download snowbreeze
3. run tiny umbrella and start the shh server
4. run snowbreeze select ur iphone select ur ios custum ur ipsw in simple mode
5. snowbreeze will give u instruction on how to put ur iphone in dfu pwned mode
6. after that connect ur iphone to itunes hold shift + click restore.
and ur iphone will start jailbreaking.
if itunes show error 2003 just unplug and than do it again.
this works100%
for that u need to download original restore firmware
from iphone firmware.com
download from this website then it will surely work…….

I got my phone factory unlocked it worked for a while and now its giving me no sim card installed error it searches some time but no luck.
I have already tried different sims. Please tell me this phone is playing with my ass first it battery got busted i paid $90 to got that replaced then i paid 25$ to get this phone unlocked and now this.

i just got a 3gs with 5.1.1 ios and the baseband is still 05.13.04 (not 6.15.00) and inspite of a healthy battery it goes off once an app is launched…is that connected in any way? is it really necessary to update it ti ipad's baseband!! please help asap!!

Hello, I fix the same situation, loading 5.1.1 firmware hacktivate, jailbreaked with sn0wbreeze-v2.9.7, then loading it using ireb (and iTunes). Then using redsn0w_win_0.9.15b3 downgrade BB from 6.15.00 to 5.13.4. Finally install ultrasn0w from cydia (I don´t instal fixer). Then I get company signal again in my 3gs Old BootRom. good luck
It not works. The pineapple logo did not appear and it stuck again with the itunes. 🙁 How was that?

Excellent..really this video helped me alot after a week frustration…The only think is you get 60000 ms error while doing this process. just download the ifaith to make sure your iphone restored with shsh blobs. dont worry you dont have to have saved shsh blobs.
