  1. I can understand why Apple is reluctant. Otherwise, why not ask for Apple to allow different users on boot-up? 😉
Just don’t give your phone to anyone. Why would you? I never have.
On the other hand, if it’s a family/shared device, there shouldn’t be anything ’private’ on it anyway.

  2. the timer goes off but it doesn’t do anything I just get a notification from clock that says timer ended. It doesn’t take me to my lock screen.
Edit: I needed to confirm the 1 second duration with clock. It works now. wow

  3. The work around doesn’t fully work. Once the timer kicks you out and you are back to the lockscreen, you can just swipe up and the app will open right back up on the screen and not close because it wasn’t really closed in the background… so you can just swipe and be right back in the app…

  4. If someone can unlock your phone, they can also get into the application they want. If they can't unlock the phone then what's the point of having the app locked as well? I just don't understand the reasoning behind wanting this functionality?

I'm sure someone will use the situation of you leaving your phone unlocked and unattended but at that point it's your own fault. If you really have something to hide on your phone then don't leave it laying around unlocked. That's just called being irresponsible.

  5. Have you ever built a short cut on iOS 15, and when you add an action for example, Speak text and you want to change the voice and the show more button don’t show up. It shows up on the Mac but not my phone. I am a voiceover user.
