How To Organize The Icons On Your iPhone Home Screen

Many of us have hundreds of app on our iPhone and iPad home screens. Keeping them organized can be a chore. But you can use techniques like app folders and searching by keyword to help. It is also a good idea to delete apps you rarely use, knowing you can download them again easily. When organizing apps, you can drag more than one at a time.

  1. I've been wanting to ask this question, but I noticed just yesterday it might have been fixed. Maybe. I get a new app and it appears on the first page with an empty position. For me, that's always the last page since I keep my pages full so I'll know where to find any new download; on the last page. But say I want to move the new app to the first (Home) page. As I make it jiggle and start moving through the pages toward the Home page, an app moves out of the way on each page. I drop my new app on my Home page but then I have to go back through the pages and fill the one empty position on each of those pages! Arghh! Remember, I like to have full, in-between, pages so to know where new apps appear. But, just yesterday, it seems that the action of dragging a new app from the last page to the first page no longer leaves a trail of pages with an empty space. Now, while I'm here, I want to find and delete an app. Sure, I can find it in the Search, but, what page is it on? I STILL have to read every app on every page to locate the app I want to delete. Any way around that? I heard you'll be at our Apple Corps meeting here in Dallas next Saturday, August 10th, 2019. Do I have that right? Hope to see you there. Thanks for listening.

  2. I use anytrans software to group all apps based on colour of icon in to folder and then use the spotlight to open an app. This way, you only have one page of apps and finding and accessing an app is lot easier using the spotlight.
