Someone I know was shooting the screen of their iPad and iPhone with a camera for tutorials, so I showed him this trick to record the screens, even while shooting video.
I find this a great way to show iPhone and iPad apps, usage, tutorials, support, helping the technologically challenged, and recording a recording of your recording. 🙂

NOTE: I just updated my iPad to IS 12.0.1 and couldn't find the control center anymore. Apple changed the way you access it. SWIPE from the top-right of the screen now to bring up the control center.

Thanks. I had no idea you could do that. I have an iphone 7 with updated software and I can't get to a screen that looks like what you were showing. I went to the control center and couldn't find it. I'm sure there's an easy answer but I don't have a clue.

Near trick than definitely comes in handy.
– I don’t know why you would need it but you actually can do most if not everything you said at the end. Set both to record their own screens, use FiLMiC Pros monitor app on the iPad and run FiLMiC Pro on your iPhone. Everything recording everything while recording. I new this, but it was a fun informative video like all of them you make. Thanks

You can download an App for Android
OBS is a free program for screen capture, podcasting and audio recording. I use it every week when record and editing a radio podcast.
