So, you also have to add screen recording to your screen by going to Settings, control center & customize first… if you have a new phone it probably won’t automatically be there.
it is way trickier than described above. I was trying to capture a video from Facebook and it took about 15 tries to finally get it. what she does not tell you in this video is that as soon as you tap the record button, you have to immediately swipe up to remove the control center from your screen, and then when it is over, quickly swipe down to see the control center and tap the button to stop the recording. if you don't do this, the only video you will capture is the image of your control center.
