HOW TO SET THE SHUTTER SPEED IN IPHONE ?
The stabilisation almost makes it look like a tripod shot.
there is no iso 22 setting in filmmcpro its lowest setting is 32
are you still here in dubai ?
this is the best tutorial . it will be good if you can conduct a phone videography, video post processing workshop here in dubai after this pandemic.
Which iPhone did you use to shoot this video?
Nice tutorial…I wonder if you don't get warning email of youtube because of the backround music
Wow I am impressed Dubai
Your accent is American, English, Irish and Australian all at once.
Hello Richard, will most of this be applicable on the Galaxy S10?
Hey Richard, applying your tips made me produce usable low light footage on an iPhone 7 for the very first time since I bought Filmic Pro, thank you so much! I will soon upgrade to the iPhone 11 Pro and I can imagine that will give even better results. Cheers!
how do u get iso 22 ? i can only get 32 on my iphone 11 pro , thanks
Professionally presented. Thank you. I just wish you would highlight the parts of the screen where the differences are most apparent. I often found that it was hard to distinguish pre and post noice reduction, likely because i didn't know where its effect was most pronounced. By the time I thought I saw what you meant, you were switching back again.
Thank you for this tutorial! I bought the iPhone XS Max specifically for professional video, and this tutorial helped me out SO much!!! SO much thanks to you!
I see criticism in the comments because you didn't include applying the settings; personally, you were right to assume existing knowledge with FiLMiC and I'd change nothing about this video. Amazing work.
Richard! When I shoot in night time, I have seen lot of dancing Green Dots (glare) on iPhone. Don't see anything in these video. I am not sure if you got rid of in POST process or there is a trick to avoid them in the first place? Please share your thoughts.
Hi…I just want to say your videos where a massive help…THANK YOU. I am an OZZY living in Tokyo, Japan. I would love for you to see the results of my new music video….iPhone7, Filmic pro LogV2, Osmo 3 Gimble….and all final footage put together by my editor friend in Australia on Adobe with color grading. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Mh8_ddoOhs
I'm a total beginner/amateur, but I'm going to give this a try at the next concert I go to. I like getting decent clips of bands, which can be challenging in the light available inside most rock clubs. Thanks for posting this!
keeping your phone steady in low light goes a long way.
I recently bought iPhone 7. Installed filmic pro with log. Shooting 4K, filmic extreme, 24 FPS, 22 iso and 1/24 shutter speed during night , eve or day time regardless gives me grainy footage no matter what. ESP during eve , cloudy day or night footage is so grainy that I feel like it’s a mistake buying all these and experimenting…
Nice one… In most of the footage I saw elsewhere shot with iPhone 7/X/XR or even 11, I see lot of rolling shutter problem in each and every shot. But this video has none of it. I wonder how you achieved that? I mean specifically what setting?
You said you wouldn't even try to use your SE to record in low light, is that because the quality isn't cinematic or is the quality just generally that bad?
Impressive!
excellent thankyou
So what about using LogV2? I’m using an iPhone7 and tried taking some shots using LogV2 and it looks horrible, extremely noisy, 24fps extreme. I noticed than when I’m using LogV2 the ISO is automatically really high, like 700 or so. When I shoot natural then the ISO is lower but if I try to bring it down to 22 it would just look completely dark. At the minimum I have to use 250 at 24 shutter speed. If I double the shutter speed the image gets even darker.
So, is it a good idea to use LogV2 with low light? I’ve heard many people saying that it is useless.
Great in-depth tutorial! Thanks!

This was a great tutorial. I'm shooing a horror movie and I needed this information
Mavis Pro is more stable than Filmic Pro, but what's more, Mavis do better black in low light than Filmic Pro, ie: less noise and more black 😉
I'm only at 50 seconds and I'm already amazed !
How do You set 1/25th shutter speed? The lowest value which I can set is 1/50. I have Filmic Pro v. 6.8.1 with additional pay features and iPhone XS.
Please help.

I saw on YouTube for video the effect of a stroboscope. Tell me, is it possible to get a strobe effect using the Davinci program?
Tell me, have you tried using the LOG profile? I understand you did not like something?
Thank you so much for answering. I am from Russia and there are few lessons in Russian … I also began to learn Davinci
