  1. Hey Richard, applying your tips made me produce usable low light footage on an iPhone 7 for the very first time since I bought Filmic Pro, thank you so much! I will soon upgrade to the iPhone 11 Pro and I can imagine that will give even better results. Cheers!

  2. Professionally presented. Thank you. I just wish you would highlight the parts of the screen where the differences are most apparent. I often found that it was hard to distinguish pre and post noice reduction, likely because i didn't know where its effect was most pronounced. By the time I thought I saw what you meant, you were switching back again.

  3. I see criticism in the comments because you didn't include applying the settings; personally, you were right to assume existing knowledge with FiLMiC and I'd change nothing about this video. Amazing work.

  4. Richard! When I shoot in night time, I have seen lot of dancing Green Dots (glare) on iPhone. Don't see anything in these video. I am not sure if you got rid of in POST process or there is a trick to avoid them in the first place? Please share your thoughts.

  5. I'm a total beginner/amateur, but I'm going to give this a try at the next concert I go to. I like getting decent clips of bands, which can be challenging in the light available inside most rock clubs. Thanks for posting this!

  6. I recently bought iPhone 7. Installed filmic pro with log. Shooting 4K, filmic extreme, 24 FPS, 22 iso and 1/24 shutter speed during night , eve or day time regardless gives me grainy footage no matter what. ESP during eve , cloudy day or night footage is so grainy that I feel like it’s a mistake buying all these and experimenting…

  7. Nice one… In most of the footage I saw elsewhere shot with iPhone 7/X/XR or even 11, I see lot of rolling shutter problem in each and every shot. But this video has none of it. I wonder how you achieved that? I mean specifically what setting?

  8. So what about using LogV2? I’m using an iPhone7 and tried taking some shots using LogV2 and it looks horrible, extremely noisy, 24fps extreme. I noticed than when I’m using LogV2 the ISO is automatically really high, like 700 or so. When I shoot natural then the ISO is lower but if I try to bring it down to 22 it would just look completely dark. At the minimum I have to use 250 at 24 shutter speed. If I double the shutter speed the image gets even darker.

So, is it a good idea to use LogV2 with low light? I’ve heard many people saying that it is useless.
