How to transfer large files and long videos off an iPhone wirelessly

Wirelessly transfer large files off your iPhone using an app called Simple Transfer – Wireless Photo & Video

Extremely useful for those who have large files saved on their iPhone. Like HD videos over 15 minutes long. Apple enforces a file size limit on USB transfers so big files are stuck on the iPhone. Wireless transfer allows you to transfer these big files by downloading them to your computer directly without the need of external software.

Only requires iPhone and computer to be…

  1. THIS IS AN AWESOME VIDEO! I was doing so much internet searching about why I keep getting a download error when I try to transfer my larger files to my computer, and this explained that and gave me (a total luddite) perfect instructions for how to get my videos to my computer. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

  2. I am really tired of dealing with these "half-eaten rotten apples". For a couple of years every time i try to get photos and videos from my wife iphone – it is hard not to swear.

Now, ironically, i have an iphone because i Galaxy S6 "died untimely" and i don't understand why these phones are so expensive, "cool" and uncomfortable.

Everything is..how they say in Russia, "through the ass": unconnectable, coded, going around, awkward, prolonged, slow, difficult.

Even in iCloud, what's that "Friday"? Why not to put the simple date (year/month/day) and, if they/appleZ want to look cool, the day of the week as well?

And it doesn't matter if one has everything updated and nicely connected and the files are small and short, USB/direct file transfer, Windows Photos (these two options – just forget it, do not try, do not waste your time), iTunes, iCloud (have to wait a couple of days for files to appear and there will be only small files) – the iphone sucks. And their "technical support" is just a waste of time and nerves. What's the point of having 128GB of memory and a 4K video option if i can't do anything with them?

And they know about all that, but are not willing to do anything about it; they just act "concerned" and surprised about that problem (like no one ever called for technical support with this crap). Fake world, fake products, fake happiness.

Simple transfer is a good thing if one has some important video-documents or just special videos on iphone, but the quality will not be good. In emergency anything is good…enough.

Still..so much bs from everywhere (politicians, banks, corporations, hospitals, FDA, police, …), so much blablablapplestevejobs and what? And i hardly use my phone, i am not checking/writing stupid messages,.. only for short important calls and vyber, whatsapp for close ones. I can't even imagine the phone addicts having these issues… I wish they have all kinds of problems, obstacles and interruptions with their games, facebooks and other crap.

Using a free app to download videos (in bad quality) and photos from a 600$ and up iphone…? Do they have any shame, those 'half-eaten rotten apples'?

What kind of company is this if the product has so many uncomfortable or just not possible features (the sound is pretty good though)?

What kind of "techsupport" is there?

Why i have to constantly, almost every day, update this iphone, i tunes and so on?

    "Honesty is a such a lonely word…"

  4. you forgot to mention that only the oldest 50 items can be downloaded for free… I obviously need to transfer something that I have recently filmed so does not help me

  5. Downloaded and the app accessed all my photos, but when I clicked on a new video I get the message that it has to be one of the top 50 items…Which means nothing new – only your 50 OLDEST photos/videos. Makes no sense at all. Waste of time.

  6. WOW!!! The amount of time it took me to realise I couldn't even get a bunch of small video files off my phone. This app is EPIC. I wound up paying the $$ for the year subscription. Nothing in comparison to the amount of time wasted. I am currently the happiest person on the planet!

  7. The video quality after down load is horrible. Even a small 8 second video. When I tried to figure out why it said that I had to pay for
Premium to change the file quality. So this is completely useless as a “free” app

  8. Thanks very much for this info, I was always able to transfer video to my Windows pc from earlier iPhones via the USB cable up to my iPhone 7, Now with the XR I have struggled to do & crashes with anything over 1gb it seems? This app sorted things for me so Thanks allot again!
