How To Transfer Photos From Your Camera To Your Smartphone With One-Touch NFC Just By Tapping

One touch NFC is a feature on Sony cameras that will allow NFC-enabled smartphones (including most Android phones but NOT the iPhone 6 series) to transfer images simply by tapping the phone to the camera.

Here is an explanation from Gary Fong (who is not a paid endorser of Sony) on how to activate and use this feature.

  1. Thank you so much, I watched a couple videos and could not get it done, you explained so easy and clear and I was able to transfer the photos. You got yourself a new subscriber.

  2. following along til my camera just says, "connecting." My phone (iphone6)takes the passcode, i hit the join button and nothing….no wifi happening on my phone and camera still says connecting…any tips??

  3. I never had to touch my phone to my camera before. I used sync to smartphone and transferred my photos via wifi automatically every time I shut my camera off. Now, I upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy S8 Active and I cant get it to transfer images. It's making me extremely aggravated. Did they change it so now you have to touch them or what's different that I cant get my photos to just transfer??

  4. IM GONNA BUY A5000 BUT BEFORE I DO I WOULD LIKE TO ASK IF WE COULD TRANSFER VIDEOS TO YOUR IPAD OR IPHONE BECAUSE I DO YOUTUBE VIDEOS AND I WOULD LIKE TO USE THIS CAMERA!

  5. I think you're doing it wrong…you don't have to go into 'send to smartphone'…just find photo and turn phone on and touch together…play memories starts up itself

  6. i have tried everything to connect my iphone 6 with sony a5100 nfc…using the app it will only let me manually send pics to smartphoner not not one-touch nfc…please help me set up nfc
