what if you restored it before you got it locked and then tried to unlock and jailbreak it. will it still work because i am getting the 1601 error everytime i do it with the 3.1 firmware.
My sim card in my 1st generation iphone says 3G on it. The sim works fine in the phone. Had a couple provisioning problems with at&t when I first put the sim in. It is now all corrected on their end. Do you think it would be wise to try this procedure with this particular sim card in the phone? I just got a new phone and wanted to unlock and jailbreak this one to sell. Perhaps I should buy a new sim card for the 1st generation iphone to avoid any complications? or just try it w/ the 1 i have??

when i downloaded the new firmware it's downloaded as a WinRar file with Winrar icon not with ipsw icon which i used to see before ….and when i try to open this winrar file there is nothing inside it……..can u help to figure this out…..

You need to activate again after install of 3.0 🙁 if you cant do it officially your screwed will have ablocked phone until jailbreak comes through
PLEASE SOMEONE FKIN HELP: Whenever I try downloading the firmwares it, it never downloads it correctly, instead of one single firmwre ipsw file, it downloads in a folder with several files like .dmg, .fseventsd files. PLS PLS HELP, how do i download the single 3.0 beta firmware, HELP
everything worked like it should but my phone locked up with apple on the screen..had to reload firmware again…3.0 is cool
do you have to do the jailbreak process? and even if im going to jailbreak, do i need to be registered? and will this effect me in the future when i go and update to the final release? sorry for the q's im a little confused
