iPhone XR Review: From Android to iOS

Last year I ran Android, this year I’m running iOS. In this review of the iPhone XR, I discuss some of the phone’s most controversial aspects, how they affect (or don’t) real life performance, and talk about the pros and cons of switching from Android to iOS. Or the other way around. Be free like me ✌️

  1. As a new iPhone user, for the last six months out of 10 years that I’ve been using phones, I decided that I’m going to be a permanent iOS user just because everything works flawless with each other, even iCloud drive on windows works well, I finally purged myself from Google products this week, but of course I’m still going to use Google drive and Google products but it’s not gonna be my main focus any longer.. I just love the way my iPhone works and the way iOS works.. My next computer will be and iMac sometime far down the road..

  2. The problem with LCD displays is they are not as battery efficient as a oled when you use higher brightness and plus dark mode can't save battery bc with LCD displays and pixels dont turn off so using more battery especially when you use it with higher difference could make more than a hour difference in battery life but overall good review

  3. Hi. I’m from the UK. I’ve just watched this video which I enjoyed. I have an iPhone XS which I bought in May last year, although from some of the reviews I have seen of the XS I think I am one of the few people who are happy with it! The XR seems good too. The reasons I bought the XS instead of the XR were that certain specs were better such as the camera. I wanted a largish screen but not as large as the XR or XS Max. Also I decided to get a larger storage capacity than the XR has. It is the third iPhone I’ve had. I’ve also had a 5 and 3GS. Like you I prefer the black bezel with a non-black back. This was impossible with the 3GS and 5 so I bought a black/space grey back with those. My XS has allowed me to have a gold back with a black bezel. I also have a very cheap android phone (Vodafone Smart 4 Mini) which I use as a second/back up phone to the iPhone. That is now very outdated so I am thinking of getting another cheap back up phone. The main issue I have had with android phones is that there are so many different companies using them and I have always struggled to make a choice between them. There is a great deal of support for Apple products as so many people have them. I know more people with iPhones (and other Apple products) than with android phones. Keep the videos coming!, and keep safe and well.

  4. Ok to be completely unbiased.
Android is MUCH BETTER, until 2 years have passed and it starts to lag and the performance starts to deteriorate. IOS has few features compared to Android, but it is SUPER SMOOTH and it stays that way til your iPhone reaches 5 years old and starts to deteriorate aswell.
Simply put, if you plan to upgrade every year then choose Androids. They are cheap to buy so you can stay with the latest phones with the latest features and designs while saving money.
If you want a phone that stays smooth and seamless for so long and you can keep for a long time without having to buy again and again although you might fall behind with the designs and features and stuff, iPhone is for you.
That is as unbiased as I can get,
Androids are cheaper, and it is easier to upgrade. They have lots of features and are very fast BUT the performance drops fast.

iPhones are seamless and not going crazy with 120hertz display and super good displays, very secured, has a long-term high value, and don’t start lagging too much til like 5 years after purchase BUT they are crazy expensive which makes it hard to upgrade from one iPhone to another unless you have a job with a high salary.
(Which fortunately changed after the monster iPhone SE came out this year with its crazy a13 bionic chip and came with a cheap price)

  5. They are both good phones. i had Android now i have Iphone. But Android have variety of phones to choose from. IPhone you have at least 2 to 3 yrs to keep it and you hve to upgrade

  6. Good review. I like bigger phones, and still have a problem with bigger fingers – anyways, I guess its 5 stars for me. Excellent phone & its never in my mind worth spending > 1k for a phone you'll upgrade in a few yrs, and get nothing for trade-in. It does everything you need, with Apple quality. thx

  7. I’ve used X Max. To be honest, I am really not missing much at all. Yes, I get it, it’s a little smaller than the X Mac however it’s still a handful and I’m enjoying it. Just got mine in red a few days ago.

  8. I've been going back and forth from Android to Apple and all of them have their strong and weak points and that's what I like about technology, it's good fun not being stuck on one brand.

  9. I've been an all time Android user, and 5 months ago I switched to iOS. Gotta say the main thing I miss from Android is that I had more freedom on surfing the internet or in downloading applications or other stuff.
With that been said I prefer iOS all day!
