Very interesting, I think I might've missed something regarding the earphone jack, does she say that you need to replace it with a new one, or does she use the existing one. It seemed odd that she took it off and put it back on without it interfering with the screen.
I learned that if you do not disconnect the battery cable, the new screen will not work. Apparently it needs to be have some sort of power reset.
Daughter drops a new XS from 1m on the bottom edge when trying to apply a case … Result: upper touch is dead and green ribbon of light on the left side of the screen. Todays phones are a joke …

my phone is iPhone Xs fill into the Sea , I go to local shop and they change the screen for me (screen is copy not original). my problem is face ID is not working and the touch screen is very bad. I need to replacement the phone with new phone or how I can fix the Face ID.
