LIVE: Designing iPhone X mockup screens with Sketch

Let’s get more familiar with iPhone X and quickly create a mockup using Apple’s resources as a library.

Disclaimer I: This is just for practice!
Disclaimer II: This was recorded Live, so there are a lot of mistakes.

STUFF TO DO:
1. Install the latest version of Sketch:
2. Get the file from Apple Design Resources:
3. Turn the iPhone X file into a library
4. Start designing, yo!

  1. It's called preferences not settings for when you download for the library. Dont use shortcut keyboards when you go to settings no one knows where settings is. Your tutorial sucks. Also, perhaps you need to tell people to hold down the spacebar when dragging the canvas around and how to zoom in and zoom out. Hold down spacebar to drag the canvas around. Hold down command and press – to zoom out and command and + to zoom in. Also everyone, what settings is, is actually Sketch–> Preferences—->libraries. He just got there with keyboard shortcuts.

    6:06 so pretty basic stuff pretty straight forward.

  2. Hi Pablo, you are so Great !!! I see you library in the video and I have one question about the changes or added of the symbols by "Apple Design Resources":

    1. Is better import in a project the original Symbols ( of Apple Design Resources) and modify and add by them;
    2. Or is better work in the separate library file like first step of this video (which you change the symbol in the library).

    What is better?

  3. Thank you Pablo Stanley‎!
    26:12 Does this change the library source files? Does this mean that you can see custom icons in another project? I think this is a hidden danger, or that a project should have an IOS library source file?

  4. Many thanks for the streaming. Design Digest was a really great content. Maybe you can reconsider keep doing it but less frecuent. Anyway it's great to see you back! And congrats also for Diseño Cha Cha Cha, love that podcast.
    Keep crushing it. Un saludo desde España!

  5. Hey Pablo, love the raw recording, just go to it, great! Quick question – where did you grab the carbon iOS Library file from? I've been designing apps for Desktop and Mobile where the aesthetic is Material Design, but now I am moving into iOS devices, and could use a great iOS library to speed things along. Is Carbon available somewhere? Google did not find much.
