  1. This update destroyed the usability of this app. I used to use it to record actual songs, not a bunch of loops. Now, basic multitracking is seemingly impossible and if there is a fix in the settings, it is far from intuitive. I give up. Thumbs down, Apple

  2. Hey Pete. Love your GB videos! For some reason, the new version won't let me export my project to a .WAV file like it used to. It creates a file in the specified folder, but it's got this weird sort of "blank" looking icon and it won't open or do anything. Any ideas? Am I missing something?

  3. I downloaded the zero chorus app for a extension and when I tried to get it in garage band it wasn’t there and then I saw people just going to their plug ins and adding the extension from their but when I tried I went to plugins and eqs and clicked edit and the plus sign wasn’t there so I couldn’t add nothing I need help 😢

  4. Thanks, hoy can i récord Voice ? Without headphones sounds horrible because you re recording the back as well. If you usé Bluetooth headphones there is a delay and if you conect Headphones with an adapter the mic turns off 🙁

  5. Hey Pete. Quick question. I’m unable to send Garageband files with IOS 13. When I go to text a file to someone, a share button does not pop up. Any idea how to resolve this? Thanks.

  6. Hey Pete, all of my songs that were located on my iPhone are gone
There isn’t even a GarageBand on iPhone folder anymore
Is there anyway I can get them back?
Also my background is white not black I’m really confused what happened
    I had over 170 projects

  7. Hey Pete. Ever since I updated garageband, the run in background feature turns off and the app refreshes after seconds of going off the app. Do you know if there’s anyway to fix this? Thanks!

  8. Hey Guys! So, I gotta question for anyone who's up for helping me out. My iphone just updated to 13.1 and my garageband just update as well. However, now that everything has updated, Garageband no longer gives me the option to share songs or projects. Does anyone know why that is, or perhaps how I can fix it? Thank you so much! 😀

  9. Hey Pete! Thanks for the heads-up here for those who haven’t updated iOS yet.

Qq: hace you ever tried using a usb hub with the usb-lightning adaptor to have a midi keyboard plus the external soundcard in garage band?

  10. Thanks Pete you are good at this. I am watching forbes.com gordon kelly column on this iOS, and as soon as the basics get sorted, I am looking forward to trying these great features out. Apple are so good at some of the creative stuff, their shortcomings are something we just have to navigate through with some care. On a separate matter, i saw some of your songs displayed when i searched for your name in youtube. I have written a book, only slightly fictional, on some of the issues your songs must explore. The addendum, has a list of the perpetrators’ names. It probably will not be published until I retire (not miles away mark you), and I think if they can go on as if nothing happened, I can publish what occurred, as if it were indeed, perfectly alright. Fair’s fair. Thanks again Pete, you’re quite a help, and when you assist clearing technical obstacles from the creative path, it’s a real boost to that creativity. I floundered with the bigger named products, PC-based, for a year, before giving GarageBand a shot, specifically buying an ipad pro 2 for the purpose (a big investment for me).

I then floundered some more, until in a fair degree of exasperation, finding your great wealth of resource on the DAW, and it is these three things together – the ipad pro 2, the GB software, and your unlocking of the frankly baffling obstacles – that I owe for my single out on the usual channels itunes etc. I won’t forget how ‘stopped’ I was and what an enormous boon your assistance was, and remains. Not forgetting, when the tech troubles are pushed aside, making music is fun as well. If you have to have a vice, this is one of the better choices, no?

  11. Hey Pete I’ve been having sum trouble with this new garage update …when I have a track playing in the background it crashes during the middle of the song playing I have “run in background” on in my advanced settings I’m wondering if anyone else has this problem and if you’ve found a solution please inform me thanks in advance

  12. I need your help bro. Every time I make a beat/instrumental in GarageBand with the right levels and pitch controls and mixing and mastering, and every time I save to files in the highest quality as possible, the audio quality itself is great and nothing has changed…but when I upload to YouTube or other social media platforms, the audio quality is bad and the bass, hi hats and snares are distorted and compressed and sound terrible. No matter what I do nothing seems to work. I’ve never really used and special plugins to help this issue because every time it’s saved on my device the quality sounds great, but it’s only when I started uploading to YouTube (even if I were to export in the highest quality or even lossless quality) it sounds terrible and static-like. Please help bro I need advice because I haven’t been able to make music in over a year now because of this issue
