When Apple’s latest iPhones were introduced in September, Filmic, known for its video recording apps, showed off a new app designed to capture video from multiple iPhone cameras at the same time, allowing for unique new footage.
Filmic today made that functionality available for Apple’s latest iPhones through a new DoubleTake app, and we thought we’d check it out to see if it’s as interesting and useful as it sounds.

Can you teach me how to reveal a identity? There’s something wrong in my video that i’ve been recorded
I want camera picture in picture on screen, outside the app, its possible?
Concert filming, discrete recording, to 2 separate files FTW!
Wide angle & telephoto, to make a multicam edit in post. Although, like any good concert footage, you'd really need to be front row. I'd still want 4k, so I could render to 1080p, & zoom, pan, stabilise & crop in post, without loss of quality.
On Android this picture in picture possibility with two cameras was removed with the update early 2019.
I can't understand why Googles answer on my question was, that they are always improving the operating system, that's why they removed that.
My next phone will be Apple for sure.
You only showed 2 videos being recorded, not 3? Also the quality if the 2nd cameras seemed much less than 1080p.
Good information. What software do you use to edit videos? Is there something free for beginners? Just starting to learn and need something fairly easy.
Here’s the link to the app for those who can’t find it: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/doubletake-by-filmic-pro/id1478041592

Noticed when looking at the release notes for FiLMiC Pro’s latest update, and it does note that DoubleTake is a preview of the feature, more than the full feature set. Sounds like the full feature set will probably be released as part of a future FiLMiC Pro update, but it’s still not ready yet.
Good video. Filmic has a tutorial out as well. Thanks!!!
Is apple really gonna make on ear headphones 🎧?
Is anyone else not finding this app anywhere?
Is it true the Telephoto stream doesn't actually use the telephoto lens? It is just a cropped version of the wide camera? Could you test this on the 4-video view and put a finger on each separate lens?
Note that the 1080p limitation is put in place by Apple's API; not FiLMiC.
