I recently got the Motorola g8 power but have switched to the A71. While I like the battery life of the motorola and like the stereo speakers I much prefer a decent camera and the lovely screen.

How you could over look the complete lack of Samsung not guaranteed security updates for this phone is shocking. Also much cheaper phones have stereo speakers and this Samsung doesn't! Come on you really missed pointing out some major flaws… There's a recent poll on what are the top issues for people buying a new phone and although it was lower than I expected… 1 out of 5 people rate security updates on phones as the most important reason in assessing a phone. I am one of those people.
whoa the water resistent is really important feature. i probably would go with something water resident since i live in snowing and raining part of Canada

I have a S10+, and my fiancé has a s9 (the little daddy). We are switching off sprint to AT&T. I absolutely LOVE MY S10+. But I went with the a71 on AT&T instead of the extra to replace my phone with the same one. However, I will miss.the flagship features, like heart beat o2 sensor, or my always on display. The crisp sound of my audio loud speakers. And the durability of them flag ships. You literally have to SLAM my phone to break it. ive lap launched it into a gravel puddle. I love the entire galaxy series and when the s30 plus drop,.I have to have it!

Does anybody no whether or not this phones is compatible with Verizon?
I feel in theory it should because the only reason why on the ad it says it isn't is because it lack CDMA support. But since recently Verizon canned that It shouldn't be a problem right? I see varied reviews saying it does and it doesn't.

I bought one today but the phone call volume is really really low, far far far worse than my old time S5, so later i returned this A71 …
I work around a lot of water, so I'm not sure about the lack of water resistance on the A71. I'm still using a Galaxy S8, and it's meeting all of my needs.

Fingerprint sensor totally sucks. I tried who knows how many times with several different fingers to enter it into the phone. After applying the finger 50 times in different ways it either tells you that it can't complete it, or everything seems to be fine until you actually want to use it and then it won't recognize it however you try. Seriously considering bringing it back.

I am looking at buying this phone. I currently have a Oppo however I can not send a 2 sec video as it says I am over the 300kb size limit , does the A71 have the same restrictions? I am new to android coming from a iPhone and not being able to send a video can be a deal breaker for me.
I do not want to use a 3rd party app to send a video. Thank you
Does anyone else have that green pixel blinking at the top of the screen when pushing SEND button to make a call? Support told me it's a led light blinking, which is total bullshit. .. anyone?

The video recording is the best features of Samsung phones. I use it for everything. The video comes out incredibly good. You must don't know what you are doing. Cause I just mount any Samsung phone or tablet too a tripod and use it for video recording.
