the iphone xr its a very good phone with only 3gb of ram
and the samsung s10 plus have 8 gb of ram and i dont see a huge difference

Hi , should I buy Xr or S10 considering the fact that durability is the most important factor for me. Im an undergraduate student and I want to use my phone uptill 2025 atleast. Please suggest something.

I'm seriously considering an iPhone, even though i always had android / samsung phones. Android phones were cheaper and had more features (nfc payments, wireless charging, waterproof, thin display-bezel etc.).. iPhone however, has played catch-up with android, it now offers the same functionality and prices seem to drop (or level) in relation to android phones.
The last nail in the coffin has been that Samsung just stops updating their phones after 2 years (next year: last update for galaxy s10?). My galaxy s8 from 2017 received its latest mayor update in 2019 whilst the old iphone SE from 2016 is still receiving updates, rumours are that it will even get iOS 14. In comparison to Samsung: iOS devices are supported for at least twice as long (but they are not twice as expensive).. Why isn't samsung updating their old phones? its not because the harware is obsolete: the s8 is still up-to-spec, still looking good, its fast, has all the features i like.. yet it won't receive an update from Samsung ever again.

People are only talking about speed, it's not only about that… it's about screen resolution, build quality, camera, speakers, fingerprint scanner/face id, ram… I would say iPhone is 1-2 seconds faster, but s10 has many more features, and therefore it's a better phone.
