  1. Come to Spain? As a Spaniard that spent fifteen years abroad and came back not that long ago I am planning to leave this useless country, this time for good.

  2. Brilliant Stuart thankyou for all your videos clear and informative hoping to escape UK when possible am retired engineer 47 looking to give my family better eco cultural social environment. UK is done and england will now fall apart and stand alone and isolated once we overcome this virus fiasco .

  3. Hi Stuart. I love your videos… and I like this new format… It's an easy excuse for me to learn a bit of Spanish. Thank you very much for all the efforts you did in the last year! 🙂

  4. obviously people are not going to listen to the government telling them to stay home. we have been doing this for almost a year now and people want to get on with their lifes, and now we're not even supposed to leave because there some snowfall?! ridiculous!
I find it incredible how sensitive people are reacting to some snowfall. Not trying to be rude here!
best wishes to you Stuart, your videos have really made the last year easier for me🔝

  5. Really relevant coverage today. I can see how the situation is an emergency. There are firefighters and police all over my street and neighborhood this morning. I could not pass down my street to go home after getting a cup of coffee: I had to go around. The firefighters are scraping the snow from the ledges of the buildings because it is dangerous if the snow falls on its own. Many businesses that are attached to buildings with snow peaking over the edge are closed because its too dangerous to let pedestrians walk on the sidewalk on that side. So you have situations where one side of the street has all the businesses open and the other doesn't because the rooftop ledges are constructed differently. This makes the economic situation even tougher. And people are falling all over the place. My husband and I have fallen several times now. I even have snow boots on when I fall! A man was instructing an older woman on how to properly walk in the snow so you don't fall. I think she had fallen and just finished crying. You lean forward and shuffle so you do not have your legs flip out in front of you and fall on your back.

  6. Hi Stuart take car out there yes you are right people don’t listen also when you have he vaccine doesn’t mean to say that you are immune from the disease but it does mean that you have more chance of recovery from it you really had it bad there with the snow best to stay at home

  7. Ok second go – this time without a link to the U.K. government website. Will a vaccine allow you to travel?
Can you give COVID-19 to anyone if you have had the vaccine? The vaccine cannot give you COVID-19 infection, and a full course will reduce your chance of becoming seriously ill.
We do not yet know whether it will stop you from catching and passing on the virus,
but we do expect it to reduce this risk. So, it is still important to follow the guidance in your local area to protect those around you.

  8. It's a good format, especialy for someone like me, how are not really into which sources are any good.

It would have been wounderfull, if you put in chapters in the video for each source you are using and a link, for those which are online.

Your overview is really good and with an addition of links, I can myself digg depper into the articals I want.

  9. Spain must sort out the fact that now after Brexit, traveling Brits can only stay here for 90 days! Then after 90 days watching all the tourist money disappear! As it’s an extremely large source of income for the tourist sector, I thought they would have a separate agreement surely?!

  10. Hi Stuart. We are regular visitors to your channel. We notice that the Canary Islands are having similar problems with migrants as the UK. Is this another nail in the coffin for tourism. Keep up the vlogs and we look forward to learning some Spanish with you. From Wendy and Steve in a very wet Lincolnshire xx

  11. Thanks, Stuart!

I grew up in Canada and moved to Valencia this past summer. My job moved me here, so to be honest, we never thought of moving to Spain otherwise. We hope to explore more of Valencia, and Spain, once this pandemic is mostly over, likely next year.

In Canada, homes are generally well insulated. In Montréal, it would be normal to get a foot or two of snow, once in a while, but it would also be normal to see temperatures of -20 to -40 during January and February. We would stay warm inside by putting on radiators, central heating, a fireplace, or by some other means. My goodness is this apartment in Valencia cold during the mornings! :O
We didn't get any snow here last week, and the temperature has gone down from 0-4 degrees most mornings. In the afternoons, we get direct sunlight and it's warmer, so that's ok. We have A/C units in two rooms (which also produce heat), and we have a portable electric heater we use in the back office. I don't ever recall being this cold inside a building during winter. Near Québec city, they have ice hotels (https://www.valcartier.com/en/accommodations/ice-hotel/), and it seems that they are warmer in there!

Your videos have been extremely helpful as we planned our one-way trip here during the pandemic. In fact, I believe this is the only YouTube channel where we check every day for updates and feel we need to catch each one.

    Thanks, again!

    Steve

  13. Oh no, the Elderly’s should be helped so they have heat. That’s what I thought, some of those houses are not equipped for cold weather. Hope its not staying that cold for long.

  14. Hey Stu! Love your videos & keeping us all updated. This May be a question for any epidemiologists: if you catch & recover from Covid, will you still be required to get the shot to travel?
