  1. Hi Steve, I have been following your instructions but once the devices are connected I always get the following message on the Android device "Something came up. The application has cancelled the request to choose a device" and the process stops with a " Connection Error, No IOS device detected" any suggestion?
    Thanks in advance

After watching 5 videos and over a dozen attempts here's what finally got it to work for me. Tips!!! : Make sure both devices have at the bare minimum 50% battery but preferably at least 80%. I found that this will not work if your android phone is plugged in or on a wireless charging pad (tried both and didn't work while charging). Reboot both devices, with your android in airplane mode before and after reboot, and disconnect from the wifi in your location, the connection needs to be with the iphone generated hotspot with no other wifi interfering before starting the process. Once on the apps and data page on iphone, tap the transfer from android button. Open the move to ios app on android phone. Reach the passcode page on iphone, and once the code appears, open the wifi on the android phone where you will see a wifi named "iOS [xxxxx]" input the name of the wifi as the password with the correct upper and lowercase and put the space between the two. Once connected on android it will say internet not available which is normal. Open the move to ios on android app and progress to the password page, then CLOSE the app. Sounds weird but it works. After closing the app on android reopen it, follow the prompts and actually put in the passcode now. Make sure you don't leave the app on your android phone and don't turn the screen off I noticed things get finicky on the android side. It should work after following the steps! {ps. I'm transferring from samsung s8 to iphone 11 pro"

  4. Question? Do you keep all the photos and your stuff from your apple id if you restart and re enter your apple id when transferring from android to ios and you already had things on your iphone

  5. Hi Steven, excellent video….I have a question….do you need a SIM card in both phones when moving from one to another?. I'm asking because I only have 1 SIM card (on my Android) and it's the one I'm gonna use in the iPhone. I bought the iPhone used and unlocked with no SIM card. I would appreciate if you can orient me on this.

  6. I used the Move To IOS to move my messages to my iPhone 11. But the messages were replaced when I synced my iTunes to my phone.. it replaced them with my previous messages from a two year old backup. I thought the the messages from my android phone and from my ITunes backup would merge together. I just wanted to merge the messages. Not photos as I always download photos to my hard drive on the computer. Programs like Anytrans failed to work. I really need to keep and add my android phone message to my older iPhone message. What can I do?
