Thanks James, its a fun video but…. there's no way I would play around for hours to get a shot tracer video. Hopefully it will get better in the future, but for now it's not an app for me!!!!! Never knew you were so patient! Whilst your on Lock down, can you review the Shot Vision app. It is said to be a good launch monitor, and we would love your opinion on it.

I use the shot tracer app on my Android and have no problems with it at all.
Did you know that you can multi-layer the effects? For example you could do the shot tracer and then on top of that do the swing tracer.
Hi James, why not do a review on shot vision, it’s and app that you can use as a launch monitor. Would be very interesting to compare to other hand held devices.
Shot tracer is a good one It's a nice gimmick,but as you say. Sometimes it doesn't work. Tripod in the bag is absolutely necessary. Vpar is the best app I found for a general golf game.
If you have an apple watch you should apps on the watch!

All that messing about I would end up smashing the phone in a paddy! I've recently got the Zepp2 swing tracer. Have you ever tried/ reviewed one? I'm quite impressed with that as a swing training aid.
So how does Shot Tracer (5.99) differ from Golf Shot Tracer (FREE) and The Golf Tracer (0.99)? Don’t they do the same thing? But this one costs the most.

Skydroid is good for statistics but i think the yardage is slightly off sometimes.

James – the best app by far is Free Caddie, personal GPS rangefinder.
Far easier and with way more courses than the likes of Hole 19 or 18 birdies.
Check it out and compare it to your actual range finder when lockdown finishes
The thing that I found with this app is that you need to line the phone or camera up directly in line behind you for it to give you a true analysis of your ball flight. If you line it up behind to the right it will show a slice. It you line up behind you to the left,it’ll show a hook. It’s good for a bit of fun. But if you’re using it for training purposes, it can be very frustrating.
Deffo redo the five best apps video.
It would be quicker painting the shot than carrying out the manual function.

Shot Tracer may be frustratingly fun, but for me, the app that changed my game……Virtual Pro. Absolutely the best "self" training app. It transformed my game on the first go. I didn't even have to leave the living room (perfect in today's climate). I used a a weighted training club and recorded. I finally saw just how bad my swing was and was able to make adjustments. You should give it a go/review.
