True Skate – Hands on Game Play – iPhone 4s

Coming to iOS on Thursday, October 18, World Wide, for $1.99 US.

Just a short game play video of True Skate being played on an iPhone 4s. True Skate is coming to the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch very soon.

The game is a bit awkward to play while trying to keep your hand out of the way of the camera and not knocking the phone.

  1. in that video you're still using 1 finger at a time, you're just switching between the 2, I guess I just need to upgrade my phone n try it out.

Question, do you have plans on updating the game in the future? New features *Tranny riding, new areas for example*

  2. You can play with 2 fingers or 1. It can be a little easier on the smaller screen with that camera, but I mostly played the game that way to keep my hand out of the way of the video camera. Check out the iPad hands on for some 2 finger play.

  3. Bought it, played it, really enjoying it! It's just like fingerboarding, except without the toy boards and dining utensils needed for a makeshift skate park 🙂

  4. I will think about uploading a tips trailer at some point.

for a 360 flip, I think you want to start of half way between an ollie and a shove-it, then quickly with the second flick, start towards the back of the board, but not too far, and flick up or up and to the side. There might also be other ways to do it.

  5. No, iPod touch 3rd and up. We really wanted the higher frame rates the newer devices could handle for this game. Apple are also making it difficult to support the iPod 2nd now. The latest iOS SDK no longer support it. Even if we wanted to support it, we would have to jump through hoops, and have 2 different versions on the app store, which would suck.

  6. Awesome, its nice to hear that your going to continue the jcs series, and eventually when i get a new ipod ill look forward to playing this game and jcs. Thanks for being such an awesome developer

  7. No, we will be focusing on JCS2 once True Skate is done, which will be very soon. We will have to see if we can figure out if there is still a way to get something release this year, but it will be tough. We have heaps of new content for JCS2!

  8. Dont get me wrong, this looks like an awesome game, but ive been waiting 3 years for another jet car stunts. Got any news on that, or did you just quit making the game?
