In this video, I go over 3 options on how you can use your iPhone as webcam! In these days of social distancing, virtual meetings are a must, Don’t spend more money on a webcam, use your iPhone instead. Use your phone in software such as Skype, Zoom, Google Hangouts and others.
It was very hard to find good solutions out there, but this video will give you 3 options to choose from. You can do it for free or you can purchase software or subscribe to a service. Either way, we have you…
Is this OK for the iPhone battery?
what app do i download on my mac to see what the iphone is capturing? i downloaded epoccam on iphone, but how do i play the image real time on my mac? Via what player/screen? the epoccam app on the iphone says it's connected to my mac… GREAT… so what? I still can't see the camera image on my mac… and there is no epocccamapp for mac os – at least not in m country on app store. What a waste of time.. They actually made an app for the iphone BUT NOT FOR THE MAC?? I mean WTF? How stupid is that? Useless app – deleting it.
Thanks for the video, I don't understand why your cameras keep going from front facing to profile view? It is more distracting than useful, not sure if that is just a Youtube thing, but usually it is if you are doing something from different angles…but hey what do I know…thx again
Good day. I imagine that it won't be much difference if I wanted to use my iPhone for video podcast…?? Can you tell me how? thanks.
Just found an easier solution that works perfectly with or without wires in this video: https://youtu.be/_NjE28MUkuk
All you need to do is download this app called "Iriun" on your mac and your mac and iphone here: https://iriun.com/
It's a shame you did not go over setting up the app with the Mac. This is exactly where my issue is. Cannot go any further.
One question: I am trying to use my IPHONE X as WEBCAM; the return I get is just COLOR BARS. Does HDMI video Capture that I bought is incompatible or is it broken? or what can i do to check what is happening and solve it?
Hello please help, the option EpocCam does not show up on my microsoft teams (mac OS), I'm using EpocCam Pro on my Iphone.
I've tried both Camtwist and EpocCam and they both aren't working. When I choose "iphone" on Quicktime, it captures the whole iphone in portrait mode. When I open zoom, the iphone comes up vertically on the screen and is very blurry. What am I doing wrong here?
Is there a similar fix for Teams?
Great video – I have a camera on my computer but it's not very good so I want to use my camera which has much better resolution – will that work (i.e. have the better resolution) if I use EpocCam? Thank you
Epoccam doesn’t seem to work anymore with new updates can you confirm?
I picked the EpocCam option. Thank you for sharing!
poor sound quality
Thanks for the tips! Great video. I've seen it's possible to skip the quicktime and camtwist steps, just using the True Visage app on the iPhone, and the screen sharing option in zoom (via AirPlay and screen mirroring). Thanks!
hello, for some reason when I hook up my iphone 11 as the camera in quicktime, my record button and camera options show up in the video. Any ideas?
Thanks for the information you showed me something really big with the use of Quicktime thanks Oh btw I JUST SUBSCRIBED
i can't see quick time in selecting from existing windows on camtwist :((
Hi John. Chanced upon your video while looking for iphone as a webcam. I noticed you are also a pastor. Cool! A techie pastor. A man after my own heart. 🙂 God bless.
You forgot to add the link of the Third-party software, which you used on iPhone to make it work with camTwist.
I was with you until you made the preference on the quicktime, your iphone. That is NOT an option on my quicktime, so I couldnt get this up. Can anyone help? SB: Its also cool to see that you were a Pastor!
I cannot find quickTime Player in the app store, are you usin True Visage instead?
