  1. I jail broke my iPhone 4 n my ipod 4 and there both really slow and I don't really have anything on em it was faster without the jailbreak. it takes forever when I turn em on and when I try n use like Facebook or my google it crashes right away! yes its nice to have a jail broken phone where u can deign it the way u want but if u think about it its not really worth it! I wish I had never jail broke mine!

  2. The translator app loaded up faster on the jailbroken device than the non jb another thing is that the ipods arent even the same gen and you have so much useless sh*t on the jb device which is making it lag if youre going to pick a side atleast support that side theres so many things wrong with this vid its not even funny

  3. I like your video, Kyle! But from what I see, the slower iPod is only a tiny fraction slower, and only in some apps, while with other apps both iPods run the same speed. One thing is for sure: one can clearly see that your iPod (the jailbroken one) has got way more apps than the original one which could actually be the factor hindering its running speed, not the jailbreak itself. It would be cool to see a test with both iPods configured approximately the same. And you can show that too.

  4. Jailbreaking does slow down your iPod but if you know what not to install it works great also I think a half a second won't kill me especially when I'm getting all for free little kid

  5. It doesn't slow it down at all. All the buggy shit you put on it will decide whether it will slow or not.

Mine is jailbroken and you cant tell the difference in speed from when it wasn't jailbroken.

  6. yeah mine does that its not your ipod its the ios 4 making that happen even if your not jailbroken. Heres what you do

    go to settings

    General

    home button

    spotlight search

uncheck everything and it should make it a bit faster that worked for me or just downgrade it back to 3.1.3 using snowbreeze

  7. I haven't jailbroken mine yet, but I think it's important to mention whatever you installed from the repos AFTER you've JB your phone. Also, this video is two years old. I've heard that jailbreak of the 4 and 4s will NOT slow down the device at all depending on WHAT you install. The only reason I want to jailbreak is to get themes and lockscreen mods. Otherwise, the default function is more than enough for my daily needs.

  8. um thanks for the video my friend jailbroke her ipod and sent me a screenshot and i waz bout to jailbeak it right now but now im not thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. The jailbreaking process will not slow the device down but all the extra add ons will. If you want to jailbreak then you will want the add ons so don't jailbreak if you don't want your device to run slower.

  10. wow suprise suprise you're an idiot…. first of all he didn't check what was running in the background, 2nd of all an ipod touch 2g (left) doesn't multitask so the ram isnt being used up. plus you added a 5 app springboarder….

  11. You should think twice about having your jailbroken ipod full of memory usage crap before making this test. Winterboard is the main feature that slows down devices because of its huge toll on the iDevice memory usage.

  12. You realize when you opened up the music, you pushed the left ipod icon first. Also you can't compare the 2 unless they have the exact same amount of storage used on it. My ipod with 1000 apps runs about a quarter of a second slower than my other itouch 4 ipod.
